RAM upgrade

I have an Acer Aspire One D225E netbook, and i'd like, if possible, to be able to run minecraft.
It has an intel atom n455 @ 1.66 ghz, and using cpu-z i discovered it's hyperthreaded.
It also has 1gb of 1066 ddr3.
I used a mod to allow minecraft to support 2 cores, and now it works quite a bit better, but i'm wondering if adding another gigabyte of ram would make a big difference?

edit: you know, I really should have mentioned i'm running this on linux 11.10.

Adding RAM to any system will certainly help. And this is probably the easiest way to improve performance.

adding ram is about the only performance upgrade you can do to most netbooks.

hard drives can be changed but will not give gaming performance increases.
