RAM Usage 70% Idle

So my ram usage is at 70% when im idle and when i have 1 program it goes up to 90% and when i restart my pc everything goes back to normal for a while then it comes back....
Specs:
Windows 8.1
Intel Core i5 3350-P
Geforce GTX 560 TI
2X 4GB DDR3

Have you tried booting to safe mode and running both a virus and a malware scan

It's one of these:

1. Pending updates, or updates that your PC didn't install properly.

2. Malware, even if you don't notice it.

Edit: Antimalware Service Executable is your culprit. I believe it's either malware or microsoft security essentials. If it is pending a defenitions updates it will eat up memory.

Yes but it didnt find anything

i see 2 failed updates but when i use the check for updates it shows 22 updates and i try to install them and this error comes up : http://imgur.com/IJVA8Sc

Do a system restore back to the previous batch of updates. Run all of the updates in sequence while having all other unnecessary applications closed. Reatart when it asks you too and boot back up and contimue updates.

Yes I do. Do a restore back to 07/12/15 and leave Avast uninstalled for the duration of your update process. That should do the trick, if not then we can continue to help.

Yes, precisely. Do a system restore to 07/12. That will remove everything you've installed since then including all of your windows updates and avast antivirus. Then run windows updates until it is all done and finds no more updates (check for updates after each reset) and then reinstall avast. Windows updates can be tricky and funky sometimes.

All updates are installed im gonna check if the problem occurs again it usually comes when im playing games and then just stays like that until i restart my pc
Edit: i still have the problem but the usage is now around 40-50% and if i run a program that takes 1gb it takes 20% ram

That doesn't seem too abnormal. What other programs do you have running? Do your games seem to be working they way they should and is your PC sluggish?

Everything is smooth but idle its at 40% and when i play a game that takes about 1.5gb ram the usage goes to 80% and i have no other programs open.
Even at 80% usage everything is still smooth so i dont know if this is a problem

AS long as everything is running the way you'd like I wouldn't be too concerned. I imagine that there is something hogging your resources, you can track it down through your task manager.

I solved the problem i changed my page file from 1280 to 8192 and now the problem is fixed. ty for your help and time
EDIT THE PROBLEM IS BACK i noticed that when im playing league of legends and then when the game is done the client suddenly starts lagging and my ram usage goes up high again could this be a memory leak?
