Question Ram usage question.

I have 4 4gb ram sticks clock speed 2133 MHz at desktop task manager says 21% usage just to run the system , when i run a game called satisfactory the ram usage goes up to between 80% and 90% , i know other components can get damaged from working them too hard , is it possible to damage ram if driven too hard.

No, and you're not driving it too hard either.

Windows maximises its use of RAM to improve performance, so the amount of RAM in use tells you nothing really. It certainly doesn't indicate that you're working it too hard, neither does it tell you that you don't have enough. TBH, unless you understand how Windows memory management works you're far better off not looking at the RAM in-use figure at all!

Over- comitted ram issues are indicated by a hard fault page rate that is more than zero.

When running,
Open task manager/resource monitor and look at the memory tab.
There will be column called hard page fault rate that should be zero or very near to zero.

note: Hard faults aren't errors. They are normal operations of windows. They happen when the CPU has to access data on the storage drives.

I just thought I mention it as fault sounds like it could be an error, if you didn't know any better :)
