Hi, I've gotten this issue lately that my RAM usage is very high while idle. Goes up to 100% while playing games. It used to build up over time, but now it happened just when I powered on my computer.

I'm looking in the task manager if there's something taking up that much ram but I can't see anything. Here's a picture of the processes using ram while idle. At this picture the % was at around 80%.

I've done virus scans but the anti-virus doesn't find anything. Looks to me that there's a ram leak somewhere. How can I indentify what's causing the leak?

Thanks for the reply. I've tried killing alot of processes but it does not make a difference. Also it does not add up to 13gb almost 14gb usage even with all the processes running so I find it very weird.

Have you tried malware scans?
Yes, I know it's obvious. ;)

Use the Startup options to limit startup programs to the bare minimum see if that helps.

Also do you have any files or folders on the desktop?

If you regularly install/uninstall stuff, have a manual sweep through the HDD/SSD had clear out the remnants.
Also, while you're in there, run the Ccleaner registry cleaner (or similar) to clear that out.

Yep, I've done several malware scans but it doesn't find anything :) I've ran Ccleaner aswell a few times, and since I last replied here the ram has actually been normal. Here's to hoping it stays that way! Thanks for your suggestions :)
