Ram Values Wrong

This has me scratching my head.

So I bought a i7 7700k 1151 a while ago upgrading from my i7 6700

I only just realized that my Ram was only registering 16gig down from 32gig which WAS working previously with the other CPU.

I took each stick individually and they all work fine on their own how ever my pc still fails to utilize all of them.

First of all I have flashed my BIOS for my Asus Z170 Pro Gaming mother board to the latest update with no change. Each slot in the MB shows the sticks in the BIOS with the Wrong value in the top left corner. Reference 1

So I enable Profile XMP and the PC doesn't boot at all. It sounds like it's idling and does nothing until you dirty shutdown and you boot in safe mode.

The weirdest part is that the safe mode screen displays ALL 32 gigs as total memory??????

I have tried raising the voltage of my DRAM to 1.50 as I did see a thread on there with that as the best answer for booting with XMP on but I have had no luck with that. Any ideas or is something here not right with my setup

EDIT-

So it turns out I didn't have the same RAM sticks in each slot but they did work together in the past.
I am now booted with XMP Profile on but still only reading 16GB on

Solution
Memory manufacturers guarantee memory in the form it is sold in. Adding extra memory, regardless of brand or model number, increases the stress on the memory controller. As a result the memory may not be able to operate at rated specifications anymore while in that configuration.

XMP profiles are for one kit not multiples. Some workarounds to get extra memory to work include:
Lower memory frequency
Relax DRAM timings
Increase DRAM voltage
Lower CPU multiplier

Since the two kits where never tested together there is no guarantee that they will work together or how they will work if you get the PC to boot up.
