Say you were to buy some 3400 DDR4 rated at 1.35V. If you ran the RAM at 2400, would it still require 1.35V or would it likely require only 1.2V similar to 2400 rated RAM?
You might get it stable with 1.2 volts might not why not just buy the proper memory.
It's a hypothetical question. I'm just seeking knowledge. What if they had a sale on the higher priced memory such that they were the same price, but you wanted to run your memory at 1.2V.
Might work and might not still the same answer in general if you slow the speed down you can drop the voltage some, if you drop the speed and tighten the timings your less likely to be able to lower the voltage.
