Would it be better to get a laptop with an i7 and 8gb of ram or a Ryzen 7 with 16gb ram - same GPU (gtx 1660ti)

the intel system has more threads and cores and an IPS panel. you can add RAM later, it is very hard to change the CPU and the panel. if you need the threads the intel is the choice and the safer bet of those listed.
the performance difference between the 1660 ti and a 2060 is not that large. is 10-20% boost depending on workload worth an extra 100?
