i have a pc on windows 10 and i would like to upgrade the ram to ddr3 8gb will i have to reinstall windows 10 ??

No, you will not have to re-install. Just turn off your computer (completely - no hibernation!) take off the side-panel, and insert the RAM. Once you have done that, turn the computer back on. Once you have established the RAM is working correctly. (Use memtest if you like, although you will have to boot that off a usb), slide the side-panel back on, and you are in business.

Here is a link for memtest if you are interested - I definitely reccommend it:

You shouldn't need too on newer boards. Well, any that use DDR3 anyway 😛 Still not a bad idea if Windows doesn't boot.

incorrect ive worked on shed loads of systems or had to talk friend through pc issues. I may not type wel but know hat I'm talking about.

in my experience with boardas since they started having uefi bios majority of em like to hang specially after a hardware change and need to clear the cmos and pull battery to fix it cuase it still thinks the old hardware there .

where I really runinto the hanging issue is I can get into bios just fine but then wont show bootable device like dvd blue ray or what ever as uefi botable device when installing windows in uefi mode for gpt partitions as example .

sorry ben welding for years bad hands man been trying to get disability my dominate hand I broke got 6 screws and a metal plate in it and ben getting worse over the years hand ben clubing
