Hi

My Mobo is a P5WD2-E premium (OS is Windows 2000 Pro). I presently have 1 GB (2*512MB) of memory (OCZ, DDR2-533). I want to add 2*512MB of DDR2-667 (Kingston) or 2*1024MB of DDR2-667 (Kingston). Of course, I will install the ram on the proper dual-channel

Is their any problem having a system with ram running at different frequencies? From what I understand, my new ram will run at 533, right?

Presently my FSB: DRAM ratio is 3:4.

If I add 2*1024MB of DDR2-667, what will be new ratio?

Finally what will be the best investment vs performance?

Keep 2*DDR2-533 + 2*512MB of DDR2-667 for 58$ CAD?
Keep 2*DDR2-533 + 2*1024MB of DDR2-667 for 125$ CAD?
Get rid of the DDR2-533 + 4*512MB of DDR2-667 for 116$ CAD?

Thanks in advance for your answers

Faster RAM will automatically match the lowest speed RAM installed. So you are correct in assuming the new RAM will run at the slower speed.

I would just upgrade to 2*1024MB DDR2-667 Modules and not worry about the 533 modules. Your board supports those and memeory is really cheap right now.

2GB of Kinston Ram can be had for aproximately $40 US. Currently the US Dollar and Canadian Dollar are in parity so in your case this would be approximately $40 CAD.
