Ram wont fit my motherboard.

Guys, what am I doing wrong? Whenever I try to install my ram, it doesnt fit. Also, Only one of the slots fold back(the right side) not the left side... I have the asus z170-a and team dark memory. plisss help, i'm nerous already, and this is my first pc build.

asus z170-a and DDR4 gaming Dark 16gb 2x8.

some of the newer boards only one end of the ram slot has a clip/folds back

turn the ram around the other way and try it

theres a little indent on the ram which isnt in the middle so it will only go in one way round

It still doesn't fit, is like if the ram was too big, it doesn't even let the ram touch the notch or whetever it's called.

i have the z270-e same idea only 1 clip/fold back

i found best way was to guide the end of the ram at the bottom--ie the end of the slot with no clip/fold back

in first then the top of the ram and a push down on the top end of the ram to click it home

1st world problems 😛 Just watch more youtube videos on how to insert ram, you can do it! And put MBO on that flat soft sponge you got in the box, so you dont have to worry about flexing it.

if its not in right the pc will come on but not display

and a little led should stay lit near the top right corner of the board--cant remember might be a white one

if its got the diagnostic leds like my z270-e
