RAM wont go to 1600mhz

Tried using the XMP setting and no hope not sure what to do i also did it the manual way too

You're going to need to provide more detail. Your entire systems specifications would help and the brand with model of ram being use.

Have you tried manually setting the timings and voltage along with the XMP?

yea i tried that first mate along with the XMP 1.5v, 1600mhz

Think i found the solution as im running in dual channel it only show 800 mhz even though its at 1600 because thats how it works and ideas. do you know if this is the case and i was being silly

Well yes if it reports running at 800mhz then you need to take into account it's DDR meaning double the data rate 800x2=1600.
