is there a specific brand or can i buy corsair memory

You haven't told us if 2 or 4 modules are installed. If you plan on replacing all modules, then you only have to buy two compatible 2 x 2 GB kits (check the technical specs at the link that I provided). If two 2 GB modules are already installed, then you should buy another identical kit. CPU-Z (SPD tab) can display what module is installed in each slot.

Corsair don't list your system, but Crucial does. Just make sure that your model number is correct because they list a different part number for the X1420G and the X1420G-U5832 (I don't see what's different in the specs).
