I have 512MB X 2/1 GB DDR2 800. I bought new memory Corsair 2 GByte DDR2 Twin2x and i bought 2 of those from newegg. they went in great i had computer off when i put them in and then turned it back on and it was running good for the day which was yesterday afternoon, and this morning it was running good before I left but when i came back home my computer was frozen so i restarted it and when it came back on i had a black screen that said detecting floppy drive which i dont have. And it said failed and didnt do anything and it went to this screen as soon as it rebooted and the mouse and keyboard didnt work so i couldnt do anything. So i kept restarting my computer atleast 20 times then i decided to take the new memory sticks out and put the old ones back in and now it works.

Any ideas!

It is not a good idea to mix ram types or vendors. Some motherboards are very sensitive to small differences in characteristics. Even with the same brand and type of ram, there can be differences over time. That is why matched sticks of 2gb and 4gb are sold. Try using just the new sticks. If that works, you are probably safe in getting two more since they are probably from the same production run.

I took the old memory sticks out and had the four new ones in. It was running last night well and this morning then when i got home around 11:30 my computer frozed and all that crap came up!

It's time to run memtest. Run it with each stick individually, and then with all sticks. With 4 sticks, you may have to up the voltage to the memory instead of letting it default.
