Hi,

I have a Rampage II Extreme Motherboard and want to upgrade my graphics card for it.
I was wondering what is a low cost 4k video card that supports the Rampage II Extreme Motherboard.

Thanks for your time,
-Chris

Solution
if it uses PCIe x8 or x16, than any modern card as long as your power supply offers the correct power cables and wattage.

what's considered "low cost" is up to you.
you will have to browse online or local retailers and find something that fits within your budget.

whether they can utilize 4K output you can easily check the included specifications for any that fall within your budget.

Because of HDMI1.4 at GT 710 it only does 4K60 with subsampling what means a lower color accuracy. If you want a 4K60 GPU without subsampling you have to buy a GT 1030 https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/Q4648d/asus-geforce-gt-1030-2gb-video-card-gt1030-2g-csm

hi google says its only 1920 x 1200

but on nvidias website is says

7680x4320@60 Hz

https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/graphics-cards/gt-1030/specifications/

then this on newegg says it supports 4k... but its from China...

OK. I found this other one on Newegg.

https://www.newegg.com/gigabyte-geforce-gt-1030-gv-n1030d5-2gl/p/N82E16814125972?Item=9SIAPNMEMF1171&Description=geforce gt 1030&cm_re=geforce_gt 1030--9SIAPNMEMF1171--Product&cm_sp=SP--611236--0--2--9SIAPNMEMF1171--geforce gt 1030--1030|gt-_-3

I guess there are like 6 different models/versions of the same GPU.
Which is the one with 4k+ res?

Thanks in advance.

EDIT
I did some looking around and I guess it's the gv-n1030d5-2gl I am after?

They're wrong. Maybe they looked at DVI-D output only. You always have to check it on the manufacterer productpage https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards-Components/Graphics-Cards/ASUS/GT1030-2G-CSM/techspec/

Oh...Cool thanks for the clarification. Does the one I found and the one you found fit in my Motherboards pci express slot? Asus Rampage II Extreme.

Also which version of the GT 1030 supports the 7680x4320@60 Hz resolution
found on these specs... It would be nice if I could hook up two monitors...

Thanks for being patient while i figure this out.
