RAMPAGE IV EXTREME Motherboard its compatible with E5 2690

Hi community, I would like to know if the Motherboard RAMPAGE IV EXTREME
is compatible with the Xeon E5-2690 processor, I saw on the website of Asus that is consistent with E5-2690 V2, but not if it is compatible with the first.

The other question is if this board fits in a Case Cooler Master K280.

The K280 can't hold an EATX motherboard like the IV Extreme. You need a bigger case.

As for the compatibility - I can not say. Could not find anything from a reliable source.

which motherboard in your experience do you recommend for that processor fit in my case?

It is ATX size so it fits your K280. Also in the CPU supported list - there is E5 2690.

They guys at hardocp did a review. Their first unit was a review sample, but when they bought one from a normal store and tested it - the Asrock X79 Extreme4 passed everything and was rock solid.

P.S I did not use this board and I cant speak from personal experience. So I am giving you info from the internet. You can further your research more, to be certain about what you want.

P.S The guys at hardocp don't really like ASRock so they are based at some points, so if they give a positive note for an ASRock board - it has been earned.
