Ran out of USB 2.0 Headers

Hello, I recently built my own PC and it comes with two USB 2.0 headers. They are both being used by my h115i CPU cooler for Corsair Link and by my case for the front USB ports. However, I wanted to add a Hue+ into my rig, which requires a USB 2.0 header. I could be a little ghetto with it and just use a micro-USB to USB and plug it into the back of the MOBO to power it, but I don't want to do that if I don't have to. I was wondering if I'd be able to unplug one of the USB 2.0 headers that I have plugged in, and if so, which one? Do I need Corsair Link? I just want to add RBG strips to my case to give it some life. Thanks 🙂

That is one option, another is simply buying an internal USB hub to connect to the back of your case, and sticking it next to your power supply, but obviously an expansion bay such as the one listed above is optimal.

So this adds 3 more USB 2.0 headers and 2 USB ports, correct? and how do you install it?

Yes, it does.
If you look along the left edge you see a header, it comes with a cable that attaches there and plugs into one motherboard header, so really it only adds two headers and two ports.

It looks like it adds 3, because the one on the side would plug into the motherboard header, which would then leave the 3 on the hub free, correct?

Well there are 3 on the card, but it has to use one from the motherboard. So you lose one motherboard header to gain 3, net gain of two.
