Random and frequent disconnecting

This has been a problem for a while now, but my Netgear WNA3100 N300 wireless USB adapter frequently and randomly disconnects from my router at random times throughout the day. It's usually fixed by physically disconnecting it from my computer and plugging it back, but even this is random; sometimes it takes multiple tries, plugging it back in a different USB slot, or even a restart before it reconnects. I've already updated my drivers and reinstalled them. I'm not sure if this is related but there are about 20-odd TAP-Win32 Adapter OAS devices under Device Manager. Any ideas?

make sure the device and usb hub is set to to go to sleep. if windows set the usb ports to sleep your wifi will turn off.
