I've got a windows 10 OS on my gaming computer which i built back in 2017.
For the last 3 - 4 months my PC has been crashing quite frequently when there are other applications opened.
For example, when i play games like Rust, Call of duty etc and i have some tabs opened from Google chrome and Steam, after a while my pc ends up crashing the entire applications and it comes to the point where i have to use the taskbar manager to end the processes of these applications for it to go back to normal.
I've tried various solutions such as increasing the virtual memory and i've tested both my Rams and none of them have any error reports. I dont know what the problem is that is causing it but im assuming it's something to do with the OS.
Im tempted to reinstall windows 10 but i have a lot of games and files saved on this computer and i dont have the time to to go through these files and save them on a external drive.
Is there any possible solution for this problem apart from reinstalling windows? I mean worst case it may have to come to that but, what is strange is that i never use to have this problem before and it just started recently.
My specs are:
16gb Ram DDR3
1070 GPU
MSI Gaming 5 Motherboard
250gb ssd (OS is installed on it)
1tb HDD
Evga 650W PSU
