[SOLVED] Random Black Screen After GPU Upgrade

Yesterday, 15th of January, I upgraded from a 2060 SUPER to a 3070, and twice so far my PC has blackscreened, and I will need to turn it off via the power button and turn it back on.

Is this a faulty graphics card issue?

Another possibility I think it might be is it lacks power as I have a 650W power supply.


If anyone can offer help, I appreciate it.

Yup, drivers are on 461.09

The first time was when I was mid way through a photoshop project and the second time was when I was loading up minecraft. However when I was playing COD + Streaming it for 2+ hours, there was no issue

your using the 8 pins for gpu from psu see if your psu have another 8 pins cable you could use .

My PSU came with a cable which has 2x 8 pin cables, I am using the same cable to power the 6pin section and the 8 pin section

the plain 3060 use a 8 pins but ti use 2 power cable so give full name and model of your gpu .

it need the 6 and 8 pins connector from psu and they ask for a 650 watts psu so check if both cable are in also you could try it in another system how it is detect you have a 4 years warranty after registration
