As of recent my pc during games is going to a black screen. There is still power to the pc but ive notices no power to any of the ports on the back panel. I cannot turn off the pc or reset it at this point without hitting the hard switch on the psu. There are no warnings no information, all parts are running smoothly no overheating. All fans and lights are still running when the black screen appears. There is no mouse, keyboard, sound or visual and my lan connection stops communicating as well. http://prntscr.com/p2t9ah If you need any other information please feel free to ask. I am not sure what information to give considering the circumstances.

Ok well after some extensive tries to boot into windows in safe mode and change the resolution, only to have the OS continually crash or just not let me boot back in. I wiped my hard drive and OS, everything is working perfectly now.. Not sure if it was a Virus or corrupted OS.. After the new install I ran Unigine to be sure it wasn't the GPU these where the benchmark results with no crash. https://prnt.sc/p9s0qo Also hand cleaned out the pc and blew out all the dust re-seated all parts and wires from PSU to GPU.

I have my system information as well just not sure how to post it all or get a txt file uploaded to be looked at.. I just found out the nvidia experience program wasn't working properly doing an update for my video card, not sure if this was the issue but fingers crossed.

Still having the issue.. I recently came across a post with something I may as well do and get over with. Computer is over 3 years old since I built it, so i'm gonna replace the thermal paste on the GPU specifically but since i'm in there may as well do the CPU as well. I still have to either find my paste or buy new but as soon as iv'e done it I will let you know if it works. If there is anybody else having this issue.. I noticed also today while gaming while monitoring my GPU vs graphics settings and frames per second. Higher the scale worst the GPU ran maxing at low settings and then the black screen happened .. I'm starting to think that it may be overheating and shutting off as a safe guard to cut power to the GPU hence why I lose power to everything except the fans..

Officially watching temperatures and usage, nothing out of the ordinary before the crash, But the crash only happens when the graphics are turned up past low setting in any game. I turned them up and almost immediately to a black screen only 15 seconds after changing the settings. I still have to make the attempt to check the thermal paste on the GPU but still no bad reading from temperature or usage. Leaving again still back at square one knowing it has to do with my graphics card but what the issue is, still not understood. Checked event viewer but with normal basic errors or warnings. No information available before the shutdown. I have tested the memory on the video card but no issues there, pass every time. Also cleaned it out with air can and soft brush. (The Entire Pc)

Also noticed I do have a small issue with the way my pc/video vcard and the way it connects to my monitor. I have an
NEC V463 DisplayNote
The settings under Nvidia settings dont make any sense. Under scaling my resolution says 1920x1080 and has to be resized to fit the monitor.
Going to Change Resolution the size listed no matter how many times i've attempted to change it says 1824x1026@1080p. Im using an HDMI cable from PC directly to the monitor and both the monitor and video card support 1920x1080 but wont go to the that specific resolution. Monitor is displaying 1920x1080 @ 67.3hz. So why does my resolution keep changing back and why do I have to use resize option in Nvidia Settings to make the desktop sit properly on the monitor.

But fans continue to run at full speed, l.e.d's still on no power to video, keyboard, no internet blinking from the port. Cannot shut it down from power button or reset have to power the pc down from the PSU.
And i tested the graphics issue today as soon as i turn the settings up in a game the black happens after a small amount of time. So definitely to do with the graphics card but no idea whats causing it.
