Random Black Screen!!!!

I just recently got a new monitor and now i have two of the same ones hooked up. And when i play counter strike, ill be able to play for 15min or so then i get a black screen but still can hear audio!!!! Help plz

sounds to me like a bad graphics card or driver for the card. I've also heard of people having issues when playing full screen games and they have a lot of power save settings turned on, and it'll register as it being idle because for whatever reason it's not registering that you're using it.

Two of the same ones hooked up? Try using a each monitor signally and if that doesn't work, try using a TV or something and see if that does the trick.

I would certainly check out the graphics driver and make sure it's the most current AND NOT beta. The only beta I've ever got to work was when the r series cards from AMD came out and even that crashed occasionally.

As MasterDell stated, if you drop it down to one monitor, it might help you eliminate a bad cable, a bad connector/connection or even a bad monitor.

how would I see my drivers??

your drivers should be listed somewhere in either the catalyst control center for AMD graphics cards or in the NVIDIA Control Center thing. I thing you can run "dxdiag" in the start menu and it will also list your driver/catalyst version. My suggestion would be to just go to the card's site, either NVIDIA or AMD and download their auto detect tool. It certainly makes things a lot easier.

Or you could just get a driver eraser and then just reinstall the drivers
