Question Random Black Screen

Hi guys,

It all started yesterday, I was playing my game and all of the sudden my screen turns black and never came back until I restart the pc. It has never happened to me before, but now it'll turn black on me randomly and I'll have to restart every time this happens. Drivers are all updated. Any thoughts or suggestions?

i5 - 9600KF
AMD 6700XT
750W THERMALTAKE GF1 PSU
16G G.SKILL TRIDENT Z 3000MHZ RAM

How old is the PSU in your build? Also, what GPU did the PSU power prior to the RX6700XT?

Make and model for your motherboard? BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?

Try and use DDU to remove your GPU drivers, then manually reinstall the latest GPU driver from AMD's support site, in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

Most likely an unstable PSU.

I have RX560 with this problem, I fixed it by underclocking VRAM 112GB/s -> 106GB/s no timing changes. It has not failed in over a year... need atikmdag patcher to use. For RX6700 bios mod doesn't work, need to use software overclocking..

PSU is about 3 years old, it was powering a Rx480 prior to the 6700XT.
Motherboard is MSI MPG Z390.
BIOS version is E7B17IMS.A70

All the fans are still running while the screen turns black though?
