The computer either completely freezes with the screens stuck on whatever I saw last until a hard power cycle, or the computer black screens and restarts itself. In the most recent one, we got full BSOD log reports. Happens randomly, but primarily while playing games. 1 a day on average.

Components: (Everything is new except PSU, GPU, and CPU. Had no problems with any of these in prior build.

  • MSI MEG z690 ACE - (Updated to newest bios, no luck)

  • Crucial DDR5 5600, XMP1 (Ran memtest 2x, no errors)

  • C:/ drive Crucial 4TB T700 with heat sink (it runs oddly hot at like 56C while just surfing the web)
-- Pre-existing components taken from my last, working build --
  • D: Gaming drive/ Samsung Evo 870 4TB (Hard disk sentinel has this at 54% health rating with 596 bad sectors, no Win install, just games)

  • 12900k, stock speeds

  • EVGA 3080Ti

  • 1000W PSU

My gut is telling me it's the Crucial T700 since it runs so oddly hot. Or some software issue.

Error reporting (All others I had to hard reset, so the only other errors seen are "bad shutdown"

what make/model PSU?

PCIe 4 drives do... how much air flow do you have? What temperatures are you getting? Cleaned fans out recently?
I can find my pcie 3 drive on 55 without trying too hard. Its normally a sign I need to increase fan speed on exhaust fans.
Dump results
report - mainly for me
I hate my win 10 VM, every time i turn it on to convert a dump it has to run stupid windows update. one hour to do a simple dump conversion...

dump isn't very revealing to me.

Someone who understands these more will follow, I just thought I would have a look

Sep 10 2005ssgdio64.sysATI Diagnostics Hardware Abstraction System driver
wonder if thats part of chipset drivers, I don't have it on mine...

try updating chipset drivers - https://www.amd.com/en/support/chipsets/amd-socket-am4/b550

try updating Nvidia drivers, they from 2021.

it could really be any driver as they all old.

Um, your dump is for a Ryzen system, your Description shows a Intel one... something doesn't add up here :)

I ran it twice thinking I must have messed up.

Hey, somehow windows linked an old dump from 2021.
Went to /minidump/ and updated it with the new one. Take a new look. .

It's also now saying "IP_MISALIGNED_nvlddmkm.sys" which some Googling is saying GPU. So i'll try DDU and new driver, but considering driver is brand new anyways i doubt it's a driver issue. Ran everything through driver verifier and haven't seen any BSOD's yet.
