[SOLVED] Random BSOD

Solution
AFD.sys dereferenced a null object.
normally, this would mean a problem with a network driver.

you have 2 drivers I don't see very often:
CY3014.X64.SYS Elgato Game Capture
or maybe:
nvrtxvad64v.sys (nvidia broadcast voice driver)
(you might remove them if you do not use them)

you might also want to apply windows updates.

Hi, I ran the dump file through the debugger and got the following information: https://jsfiddle.net/2rs68jkb/show This link is for anyone wanting to help. You do not have to view it. It is safe to "run the fiddle" as the page asks.

File information:042922-12093-01.dmp (Apr 29 2022 - 18:41:18)
Bugcheck:IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (A)
Probably caused by:memory_corruption (Process running at time of crash: System)
Uptime:0 Day(s), 1 Hour(s), 10 Min(s), and 02 Sec(s)

Possible Motherboard page: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B550-GAMING-PLUS
There is a BIOS update available for your system. Wait for additional information before deciding to update or not. Important: Verify that I have linked to the correct motherboard. Updating your BIOS can be risky. Never try it when you might lose power (lightning storms, recent power outages, etc).

This information can be used by others to help you. Someone else will post with more information. Please wait for additional answers. Good luck.

funny, john normally answers these before Gardenman replies but after I told him about post.

I think 2nd Nvidia driver part of shadowplay

Nov 11 2021rt640x64.sysRealtek NICDRV 8169 PCIe GBE Family Controller driver https://www.realtek.com/en/

download Win10 Auto Installation Program (NDIS) from under windows header here - https://www.realtek.com/en/componen...0-1000m-gigabit-ethernet-pci-express-software

I wish I didn't see vgk.sys as much as I do, but it is needed to play Valorant

Should be a new version of Icue as well, my version of one of your drivers is from January this year.

i was kind of figuring it was the Elgato Game Capture software making a bad windows socket call that bugchecked AFD.sys. or maybe the shadowplay software just because there would be a lot more bugchecks if the bug was in the actual network driver. (but it could still be a bug there, I was just guessing)

Sorry for the late reply everyone only saw I got a response as of now. Somethings to note I just remembered I had Elgato Game Capture open during my specified BSOD and it was acting weird as in it stated my capture card was connecting and receiving a 1080p60 26mbps signal when it wasn't plugged in at all. After reading the few replies about it possibly being an Elgato thing I went ahead and uninstalled it just incase for now as I haven't used it in a while. So far no crashes in Windows however I did try Driver Verifier or whatever it's called and I got a Driver Verifier Detected A Violation BSOD on nvrtxvad64v.sys and then a constant Driver Violation BSOD on startup I went ahead and removed RTX Broadcast for now. I'll go ahead and test out my system over the next day and if I don't see anything ill assume it's one of the two.

Went ahead and updated the LAN drivers, I didn't realize the drivers were out of date. for iCue I find it odd that my drivers were old since I installed iCue just a few days since I just got a new Corsair Headset. As for that Nvidia driver it's actually apart of the RTX Broadcast software, it's a piece of software that uses ray tracing cores and AI (if I recall correctly) to remove background noise from my microphone.

It was only part of the Icue software that is old, so its possible the driver package for your headset contain an older version of a driver compared to their AIO software. It might be a different version. Its probably okay.
