Question Random BSODs. SSD issue?

Hello!

Lately I've been encountering a lot of random BSODs, when on desktop, when gaming, when browsing, etc.
There's a few various errors, one of them is "0xc000021a" and the other one I remember is "KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR".

From my research, those would suggest a failing drive.

Things I tried:
  • running "sfc /scannow" - didn't find issues
  • running "chkdsk - every time I'd run this it would have something to fix
  • reinstalling Windows after fully wiping the drive - didn't fix anything
  • checked SSD health with CrystalDiskInfo - says "95% Good"

Other info:
  • usually programs freeze before the BSOD occurs, sometimes only the focused window, it's weird
  • there's no any minidump files
  • SSD is a Crucial P1 1TB (around 2 yrs old)
  • mobo is a Gigabyte B450 S2H
  • OS is Windows 11

I don't have any spare M.2s to test so I have to decide do I buy a new drive, or possibly a new motherboard.

Any ideas?

Post your full specs.
Did you build the PC, or bought a prebuild? How long did you own the system before it broke down?

0xc000021a - often occurs when there are corrupt system files.
"KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR" - usually indicated harddrive or RAM problems.

So my simple guess, you have SSD problems. Or you could have bad/incompatible ram.

Ryzen 5 4650
RX 6700XT
Gigabyte B450 S2H mobo
Crucial Vengeance LPX 2x8 3200MHz RAM
Crucial P1 1TB drive

I did memtest both with XMP on and off, no RAM problems.

I built it myself, and had the PC with that SSD for around 2 years, had no prior issues.

Well i guess you could try booting windows from a USB since you dont have any other harddrive to test, then play around with your PC, see if any errors occur, if not, than mostlikely your SSD went bad.
