This all seem to be a power related Issue, the system would just completely Shut down like if I unplugged the PC, its a long detailed issue so I will explain.

First my Components are:

MOBO: Asus b550f Gaming Wifi
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
GPU: Gigabyte Gtx 970 Gaming G1 (OLD from past build)
PSU: Corsair RM850X Plus Gold (2021)
No Break: CyberPower CP1500PFCLCDA, 1000W, 1500VA

Well everything started after I fell asleep on the evening I woke up and noticed my PC was about to go on sleep mode, I grabed my phone to check my stuff and when I looked at the PC again, it was completely shut down ( note that I was experimenting this happening sometimes PC would not combe back from sleep or I would find it shut down in the morning even if I didint turned it off) so I tought something similar happenend, tried to turn it on and it shut down when windows was loading, tried several times and this seemed to be a windows problem so I tried a windows Satrtup fix, didn't work same happenend, then tried a System restore to a past date, this somehow worked in the sense that I was able to turn it on and boot it normally, most apps where messed up from the restore so, when I was on windows I made backups and made a restore USB to re install windows, I did, messed up by trying to keep personal files, since widows apps were still not working good, so I made a install with the option "keep nothing".

After that the PC was working normally for a whole day I turned it off late at night and went to sleep, in the morning of the next day I was using the PC normally and the it shutted down out of nowhere( note that I also have the internet router conected to the no break , so I think it was not it, since nothing else shut down but the pc), after this happened I treied turning it on again and now it was shuthing down after even getting to boot, i tried several times and the same happened.

After this I was confused since I tought I had found the issue and it worked well for a whole day so my head was spinning, I dismounted the PC checked everything internally to be well conected and not flimsy or too dirty, repasted CPU , reconected everything, tried to turn it on again, and it shutted down before boot.

I start looking at the Mobo leds and noticed it went From Ram,CPU, and shuttenf down when reaching VGA, then I tought my GPU was dead, it made sense since is pretty old, tough is been working good aside from the fans that I replaced for some Everflow fans I bought on Amazon(<Mod Edit> and noisy), but aside from that the GPU has been working stable, never overcloked it ever, max 64 C at full load, 42-43 on iddle.

Anyways I unplugged the GPU and turned it on again, now the leds were going RAM,CPU,VGA, and then going back to the start(RAM) and repeating the cylce, but not shutting down like before, so I tought that my GPU was just dead, after a lot of thingking I was wondering always about the PSU not working but then I thought maybe is the No break.

I made a small experiment, I unplugged the PC from the no Break and plugged it a gain on it but in a different plug, turned it on and now the Mobo leds were not on a cycle, it whent , RAM,CPU, VGA, and booted without the GPU connnected, I reconected the GPU on the PC and it booted normally again, I was really stressed so I tried to not use the PC for that day, now I just turned it on and have been working normally for like 2 hours, I HOPE, is just the no break plug, but I fear it will shut down again soon.... I talked to a dude that has a PC building buissnes and he assured me is the PSU.

I would really want for some opinions or people that have experience with this kind of issues for what may be the actual problem here, right now I unemployed and with a limited soruce of money for any new components, also my PC is my work tool, so I'm dying inside. Halp...

Look in Reliability History and Event Viewer.

Either one or both tools may be capturing some error codes, warnings, and even informational events just before or at the time of the shutdowns.

Start with Reliablity History: much more user friendly and the timeline format may reveal some pattern of errors.

Event Viewer takes more time and effort to learn and to use.

Immediate objective simply being to find some error codes, etc..

it basically gives no info other than power was lost, at X date, seems to not be anything related to windows or software in general, at least as far as I understand.

Update: So far I used the PC the whole day yesterday and about 3 hours now and still no shutdown, due to the nature of the failure I still have to keep on waiting to confirm everything is alright... I just hope it was the plug, and everything is alright now.

I had the same problem with my old PC, the 12v rail went bad and I was getting random restarts/shutdowns and by the looks of it the same thing happens to you. I got a new PSU and the problem was resolved.

My whole PC is less than a year old except the GPU, I have been using it since I conected it to a different plug and so far 2 days(the whole day) without issues, I still don't trust it since it fooled me once already working a whole day and some hours with no problems.... so I can only keep testing and start working and saving constantly so I don'y lose anything if it goes bad again, I'm already looking for a PSU replacement.

But can you be more specific ? is there a post here on the site so I can see your case? it would be useful.

Hey, I am having the exact same issue. Did you find a fix? I also have a RM850x, which I thought was the issue. I replaced it for a new RM850x, and I am still occasionally getting reboots. No BSOD.
