Random Computer Freezing

I built a new computer recently with the following specs (if it helps to solve the issue):
i7-5280k
DDR4 RAM
Palit GTX 780
Asus X99-A
Deepcool cpu cooler
Aerocool X-strike power supply 80+ gold
120GB Kingston SSD
2TB Hard Drive.

Now the problem is that my computer freezes indefinitely at random moments which disables all my inputs so I can't type or move anything; I cannot tie the freezes to any particular problems or tasks that I am doing. This usually happens about 1-2 times a day and it is starting to get annoying. I do not get any BSOD and I am forced to either press the reset button or hold the power button for four seconds. I've re-installed the OS to see if that is the problem but still the problem persists.

I checked in the event viewer and every time it does freeze it is logged (I have a nudge it is logging me pressing the reset/power button, not the exact moment it freezes) and it says that the event ID is 41, the source is Kernel-power and the task category is 63. So what have I done to solve this? I installed furmark and ran a test and the GPU handled it well, however once i quit furmark it froze. I did not believe it was because of furmark as I've had really random freezes before (even halfway through shutting down).

I'd also like to note that sometimes while turning on the computer I do get an 'overclocking failure' message telling me to change my settings, however I do not and have not done any overclocking.

Every driver is up to date.

I was also told by a friend that it might be the power supply. I used to have all my components (comp and monitor, chargers) on one extension socket. He said to put it into the wall socket as I may be losing power unexpectedly. I just put the PSU on its own extension socket so that I don't have to move my computer just to get to the wall socket. In addition, all parts apart from the case were bought and tested in Russia, and everything worked fine there. Thus the power supply has a Russian lead (Russia runs on 220v as opposed to the UK's 230) which means I use an adapter to get it to fit into the UK socket. Could this be causing my issue?

Thus, I'd like to ask, what is the problem. If it isn't clear, what can I do to further diagnose the problem and deal with it, thanks in advance.

EDIT: The HDD light does not turn on or flash while frozen.

TL;DR Comp keeps indefinitely freezing, have no idea why!

Thank you for your response. I appreciate that this power supply might show a general trend of instability. However, to confirm whether this is a psu problem, do you know of any programs which could help to distinguish whether the PSU (or the fact that I am using an adapter) is causing the problem that I am experiencing?

I have the same problem with my new custom built PC, intel i7 3770k. I took advice and upgraded my power supply to try to fix it and still have the same problem, but with a good psu. So I doubt the power supply is your problem.
As long as you're getting enough watts it's probably ok.
From what I can tell, no one online seems to have any clue of what to do. If you figure it out let me know.
You didn't say what Windows you're using.
