Question Random fps drops for a few seconds while playing any game (Alienware Aurora R13)

i dont know much about PCs so i thought someone here could help me out
recently my fps will drop from a consistent 180 to around 40 for a few seconds then go completely normal repeatedly
im unsure whats causing this and have been looking for a fix ive tried most solutions to no avail
someone informed me it may be a cause of thermal throttling and fan temperatures hover around 74°C to 79 °C when it happens is this the cause or is it something else?
edit: for some reason the the temp goes down when this happens

Can you give us the exact model number. There are some variations. List your PC components, including CPU/GPU/Memory make and model, PSU, PC case and any fans you have.

Also what bios are you running? You check this with CPU-z.
