I've been experiencing some annoying frame rate drops on Assassin's Creed: Syndicate on my new computer. First of all, here are all my computer specs:
AMD FX-4300 3.8GHz Quad-Core
MSI R7 370 2GB 256 Bits
8GB HyperX Fury (2x4)
MSI MS-7641 Motherboard
HDD 500GB 5400RPM
EVGA 430W PSU
Windows 7 64 Bits Ultimate
I don't play on 1080p, my screen is 1360x768.
The problem:
Playing at low settings, 1360x768, FXAA on, I get, most of the times, 40-45 fps, but it usually drops to 15-20 fps, especially in the centre of London. Actually, it stays like that for about 2-3 seconds, then it goes back to 40-45 fps. I've tried to discover the problem by using MSI Afterburner and RivaTuner. I noticed that the CPU is bottlenecking the GPU (while the GPU is at its 60% usage, most of the times, the CPU is almost reaching its 100%). I started watching some videos with the same video card and/or similar config, and I noticed that their game would use like 5800MB of RAM, while my game uses 4200MB. Then, I tested that on other games. I noticed that in GTA V, it would use 4200MB, too, and so in Dying Light.
So, would the problem be with the CPU or with the RAM? How could I try to solve it? Thank you.
