Question Random freezes and peripherals shut off when playing certain game

Hello,

I've been experiencing randomly freezes with my pc only when I play Counter-Strike Global Offensive. What happens is that while playing everything in game slows down and gets really choppy for 2-3 seconds then the monitor freezes frame and all my peripherals shut down. This causes me to have to reboot my computer. This usually happens once a night while playing, but has never happened twice in one sitting. I have tried reinstalling the game, but this did not fix the problem. This has been happening on and off since about May. All of my drivers are up to date. This never occurs when I play or do anything else on my pc. I've looked everywhere for a solution and nothing seems to be of help. If anyone has had something similar happen, or knows what is causing this it would be nice to finally fix this problem. Any help would be much appreciated!

Gigabyte Z390 Aorus Pro Wifi
EVGA RTX 2070 XC Ultra Gaming
G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16GB 2400

No, I have not overclocked it.

Yes I am. In game resolution is 4:3 1280x960. It's been that for years though
