[SOLVED] random freezes during games

Hello people

My PC has been absolutely fine until yesterday where I get random freezes in games (which last a second or two) every 10 minutes

I have installed empty standbylist which hasnt done anything - My GPU and CPU usage are fine and havent deviated since this started happening
I have uninstalled gfx drivers and re-installed and ive tried re-installing the games
I have checked bios for any random changes but all is fine It isnt game breaking but its starting to annoy me a little as its just randomly started happening

SPECS
i5 8600k @ 4.6ghz
rtx 3080fe
16gig 3600mhz ram
2 x 2tb SSD 1 x 500mb nvme
1440p dell g sync monitor

any help would be appreciated

anyone? I have now updated my bios, switched off g sync and tried high performance modes and its still happening

Ive also noticed this is only happening in less demanding games like deep rock, pga 2k21, wreckfest
battlefield, cod, apex are all fine

Do you have XMP enabled? it could be that
I would suggest also doing some tests with memtest86+
