My PC has recently started having random freezes where I can still hear chat, videos, and games but the screens are frozen and I cant control anything (mouse, keyboard and mic become unusable) But after a few seconds 3 to 10 everything starts working no blue screen or restart required
Ive updated drivers
Ran Memtest
Scanned hard drives
Reinstalled windows
Nothing is overheating and windows isnt recording any errors
Also this happens no matter what im doing (youtube, gaming, music)
I do have my second monitor running off of the cpu rather than the gpu but ive never had any of these problems until recently
Specs
i7-8700k
G.Skill TridentZ 16GB 3200MHz
ASUS ROG STRIX Z390-e
ASUS ROG STRIX 1070ti
Corsair RM850x
Any ideas on what it could be?
Im leaning toward the GPU even though it isnt even a year old but want to test everything before I buy a replacement
Edit: So after keeping task manager open during the freeze i saw that GPU load falls to 0% would this be a GPU or PSU problem? And how can I test?
