Hi all, got a problem that's been bugging me for the past month or so. First thing's first, I bought all my parts in mid August, so it's relatively new. Now the problem I have is random. I could be doing anything on the pc when it'll just freeze randomly. It won't freeze completely at first (I can move the mouse and click things) but whenever I click a folder or program to launch, it won't launch it and eventually i can't click anything and I have to do a manual restart. Not sure if it's a software or hardware problem but here are my specs:

RAM: Wintec AMPX 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333

HDD:Seagate Barracuda ST31000524AS 1TB 7200 RPM SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

MB: BIOSTAR TH67B LGA 1155 Intel H67 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX Intel Motherboard

Video Card: SAPPHIRE 100315L Radeon HD 6850 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.1 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card with Eyefinity

Processor: Intel Core i5-2400 Sandy Bridge 3.1GHz (3.4GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor

Case: Rosewill CHALLENGER Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

PSU: Cooler Master 600W extreme power plus

I feel like it's a hard drive problem considering it has the lowest score (5.9) on system scores. But i need professional opinion. I would appreciate any help.

mousemonkey will probably post something telling you not to bump posts later xD

Anyway, are you up to date on Windows updates? Have you tried running memtest? If these things check out OK, I would probably suspect some problem with the motherboard or even maybe the PSU. I'm not too confident in Cooler Master's PSUs.

Edit: Forgot to ask, did you install any new programs before this started happening? Or was there a Windows update right before this started happening?
