Hey there people!

I've been having this problem for a few months now, since my motherboard was faulty we had it sent in and it was fixed with whatever since it couldn't pick up any LAN connections and I noticed that two of the heat pipes on my 560 Ti had been taken off and welded at the ends?

I have no clue why.. since then my computer has been freezing on windows start up... e.g freezing when it shows the 560 Ti 1024Mb Screen at the very start of the computer booting, sometimes it'll freeze there sometimes it'll progress past that and then freeze when it gets the to Mobo screen with all the ports and plugged in devices, other times it freezes when the windows 7 trade mark logo does its little flash thingy in the middle of the screen, then has frozen with the log in screen showing right before typing my windows password in, also while the windows spinning icon on the cursor appears before its logging on to the windows desktop.

After hopefully getting past one of the MANY! freezing points I'm able to run all programs/applications without a worry, Until the display drivers desides to crash (And it doesn't matter what I'm doing when it desides to, I could be playing a game or just loading up google, sometimes just sitting at the desktop does it, when it crashes there's about a 70/30% chance that it will just crash and recover leaving me to do anything fine until I turn of my computer again and reboot, OR It'll freeze and not recover the display drivers...

Once I'm past the freezing points and it doesn't freeze with the display drivers then I'm sweet for as long as I don't reboot and might have It freeze again..

Sometimes It freezes, sometimes it doesn't at all and only the display drivers crash, Other times It freezes for an hour and a half of me rebooting over.. and over.. and over.. until it doesn't freeze and lets me log in to be greeted by the display drivers crashing, has anyone got any clue as to what I can do to fix this, It's driving me crazy!

P.S- I've Cleaned my hard drive of all random files etc Defragmented, Clean installed Nvidia drivers, Checked If It was any programs by running safe mode, Checked/cleaned my RAM I'm not sure if It's the Mobo, GPU, CPU, PSU?

Your guess is as good as mine.

That's all from Dxdiag :p Thanks If anyone actually reads all of this and has any solutions! ^_^

I have a hard time understanding why, and if it is even possible, to remove heat pipes considering they are embedded in the heat sinks. Nevertheless, I would have to assume that the heat sink may not have been properly repaired and re-installed with new thermal paste. You have so many problems that are likely related to your GPU. First you should get HWMonitor ( the free version is fine ) as it will tell you the running temps of your CPU, GPU, MB, HDD's and Fan speeds, so you can see if there are overheating issues. Generally on a cold boot, you wouldn't have overheating issues, but if the GPU is barely touching the heatsink, it may not take long to get way too hot. If you know how to remove your GPU's heatsink and apply thermal...

If you know how to remove your GPU's heatsink and apply thermal paste yourself, you may be able to see if the GPU is properly covered with a thin layer of thermal paste. I would seriously consider re-installing windows too. When you first install windows, the OS has a default driver that will run any GPU in basic 2D modes, so you can see if you have any stability before you even load the newest Nvidia drivers. NVidia's drivers will optimize your card to play games and the ability to customize far more settings than the default windows driver. You could try putting in the Windows disk and use the repair utility to fix all system files if you absolutely don't want to re-install Windows. My feeling is that your NVidia card was not properly repaired and you may need to send it NVidia or get a new card.
Here is the site for HWMonitor: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html

Yeah I've got no clue why but They've literally welded and remove two of the heat pipes that move in the direction of the back of the case >_< I sent my computer in for the Mobo to be fixed lol...

But never the less thanks for replying :D I've tried the windows repair to no luck, I forgot to mention that when I tried windows repair it said something about missing a boot device or something? Not the CD/DVD that works but another device is missing... So the only option is the re-install completely, But how will I keep all my files without It becoming a complete corrupted mess when dragging things over from the windows.old file? Like My battlefield 3? Do I just copy all of the origin files or Is there sub folders that are hidden elsewhere that are required, thats whats stopped me from a clean install :(

Also I've installed the HWMonitor this is what it's showing while Idle typing this messege.

And this is the temps after the display drivers crash not sure if it'll help :p everything is leaning towards my GPU being faulty

Look this is a random stab in the dark here, this sort of used to happen to me. It wouldnt crash pre windows but when it was on idle on desktop my GPU would go 100% and then crash the drivers and windows driver recovering timing thing would kick in and recover my drivers. Turns out its a bitcoin mining malware that manifests itself in C://Temporary and runs as ieghutil.exe or something along the lines, like a fake IE utility. Got rid of that EVERYTHING was solved!
