I have recently found that in the past few days, my ping has sky-rocketed to the point where it sometimes reaches +1000ms. I have done the basic restart router, move it around etc. I have also tried updating my network card drivers, switching between ethernet and wifi, using different routers in the house, limiting bandwidth and monitoring the applications that are drawing the most use from the network. None of which have brought me to any solution as to why this is happening. I have pretty decent download speeds and a strong connection & apparently there are no issues with my ISP. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How are you getting the ping results?

What source IP are you targeting?

Where is the high ping happening? Which hop?

Have you tried other known working (at speed) Ethernet cables?

Run the "ping" command (without quotes) via the Command Prompt. Post the results.

You should be able to copy and paste the ping results without needed to retype everything.

ISP, make and model modem, make and model router?
