So recently I've had issues with Windows not listening to the settings that I have it on, or random resetting of my setting. It is up to date, and all of my drivers are up to date as well.

First off, and I've posted about this earlier (thought it was resolved) but my background continues to randomly reset to a purple screen for no apparent reason. I thought it was because my brother and I had our accounts synced due to us sharing an Office account, but the problem persists after un-syncing.

Second, the PC will not go into sleep mode. I can have it set up to go to sleep after 5 minutes, but the screen will turn off, and the PC will not, staying on indefinitely until I go into the power options and manually telling it to.

Third, It will randomly reset my RGB through Aura sync. I don't think that the actual software is the problem, because it started doing this about the same time that it started to refuse to go to sleep.

Do I need to do a fresh install of Windows? If so, is it going to keep my product key for W10, or am I going to have to buy another one? Because that is too much money that I do not plan on spending again.

Please help, and thanks in advance.

I would have thought turning off sync would fix the purple desktop. it must be tied to you using same account still. Did you turn it off on both PC? It might be its still on, on your brothers PC, and its setting the desktop for both of you still. Admittedly this shouldn't happen if you have it off...

Many sleep problems tied into having old drivers.

Its possible updating armoury crate might help with the RGB thing - https://www.asus.com/au/Motherboards/ROG-STRIX-B450-F-GAMING/HelpDesk_Download/

Can you download and run Driverview - http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/driverview.html
All it does is looks at drivers installed; it won't install any

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers...

When you run it, go into view tab and set it to hide all Microsoft drivers, will make list shorter.

Now its up to you, you can look through the drivers and try to find old drivers, or you can take a screenshot from (and including)Driver name to (and including)Creation date.

upload it to an image sharing website and show link here

All I would do is look at driver versions (or dates if you lucky to have any) to see what might have newer versions.

We may be able to fix this without any installs

Any windows 10 PC that has win 10 on it now can always have it reinstalled again without any cost (besides time). The licence is stored on a Microsoft server, when you install and get to screen asking for licence, you click "I don't have a key". Install will continue and upon reaching end the PC will check an activation server, find your PC is there and reactivate your license.
