Laptop model: HP 15s-fq5000nia

Laptop Specs:
Processor: Intel 12th Gen Core i3 1215U
RAM: Lexar 16GB DDR4
SSD: Samsung 980 1TB

My laptop has been continuously lagging on basic functions such as opening a window and typing a text. Initially when this issue arrived, it led to the BSOD (STOPCODE: WHEA UNCONTROLABLE ERROR).

Some computer technician told me to replace the lexar SSD as it may be the cause. So I replaced the SSD with Samsung 980 1TB SSD. Since then the lagging is not leading to the BSOD but the laptop is still lagging on basic functions like watching a video on youtube or typing a document or switching between windows.

What I have also noticed is that whenever the system lags, a spike is observed in the processor in the task manager (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yat9f5hOAtzlIeOcTLvjWZIJ3w7Q_2Mp/view?usp=sharing).

Can anyone guide me on how to resolve this issue.?

How full are the SSD's?

Continue to use Task Manager to observe system performance.

Two other tools (use all three tools but use only one tool at a time) that can be used are Resource Monitor and Process Explorer (Microsoft, free).

Objective being to discover what resources are being used, to what extent (%), and what is using any given resource when the lags and/or error codes occur.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer

You can also look in Reliabililty History/Monitor and Event Viewer for error codes, warnings, and even informational events that may be being captured just before or at the time of the BSODs and lags.

See what you can find.
