Okay, trying to sort this out. PC boots just fine but will randomly restart/reboot. The BIOS shows 99 in the bottom right corner but Windows loads normally and everything seems fine... until it resets again. It can happen while I'm browsing, watching YouTube, using Photoshop or when I'm gaming, no apparent rhyme or reason. I've checked all the components and connections and everything seems fine. Really need to figure this out and hoping there's a solution. Here's my PC model and specs:
AVGPC Max Gaming PC
Mobo: Biostar B550MXC PRO
CPU: Ryzen 5 5600G 6-Core 4.4 GHz Max Boost
GPU: Radeon RX 7600 XT
RAM: 32GB CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 (16GB x 2)
Storage1: 1TB M.2 NVMe
Storage2: Samsung 870 EVO SATA III SSD 1TB (added as a D drive)
Cooler: Hyper 212 RGB
PSU: Thermaltake Smart BM3 80+ 850W Semi-Modular
I checked with AVGPC and they suggested I try and roll back the last few Windows updates (unable to since it's been 10 days since last update) or to do a Windows Reset back to factory default... is that something I should consider and/or what are the risks? Windows 11 came preinstalled on this PC and if something goes wrong I'll be dead in the water. I've been looking all over the net for possible fixes and I've never seen the Windows reset suggestion. Any ideas?
