My pc shuts down randomly with no warning, then attempts restart twice before successfully restarting. After it has restarted it acts completely normal and then shuts off again. There is no predicting when it will turn off. Sometimes it happens several times a day, and sometimes it works fine for several weeks. Does anyone know the possible reason for this?

I would run HWinfo and look at the temps and the voltages.
In general you want your CPU temp below 70C and the GPU temp below 80C under heavy load.
You want the voltages to remain within 5% of +12, +5 and + 3.3 both at idle and under heavy load.

It would be good to list full pc spec including make and model of psu.
CPU: Intel i7-4790K
GPU: MSI Nvidia GeForce 1060 6GB
PSU: Cooler Master B700 ver.2 700W
MOBO: MSI Z97sSLI Krait Edition
RAM: 16GB Dual-Channel DDR3 666MHz
1 120GB Liteonit SSD
1 1TB Western Digital HDD

GPU temp never exceeded 70C under heavy load
CPU temp never exceeded 70C under heavy load
Temperatures were monitored right before an unexpected shutdown

+12V Min: 11.982 Max : 12.564 Avg: 11.994
+5V Min: 5.080 Max: 5.120 Avg: 5.116
+3.3V Min: 3.344 Max:3.376 Avg: 3.374

My computer shut down by itself right after alt+F4-ing the game i used to stress it
