So i ve had this problem for a long time, also even after reinstalling windows.
The problem is that sometimes the PC becomes slow, yet after maybe 10 seconds it back to normal again
I tried to update Fortnite yesterday on Epic launcher and i noticed that the PC became slow
Before that i havnt had a slowdown after reinstallning windows last time (a few weeks ago.)
So i deleted Epic launcher and hoped that the problem would be fixed. Yet today i noticed a slowdown
that lasted like 5-10 seconds. (If open maps they open slower.) I have run Windows defender and also
Malwarebytes before, and have not found any virus. I think myself that this might be normal because
windows might be doing something in the background, or there's a random bug causing it.
Yet i want to know how i may fix this, and also if its a common problem ? With my other PC's which
are quite slower ofc they work slower than the PC i am talking about.
Here are my specs= 5600x 3070 32gb 3600mhz. b550-plus. 2x ssd m2 pcie 3

(I suspect that the slowdowns came back because i installed Epic launcher on my PC.)

Just so we can have a quick look and use as a 'basic' diagnostic, can you run Home - UserBenchmark and post a link to your result please.
Yes i have done that and others said there is no problem with the result
(But i ll run it again and post results here.)
https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/53286760
I noticed that the result is somewhat higher than i usually get on Userbenchmark...

I have had this problem also with other PC's i have at home. But since they are slower i am not annoyed by it. (Especially after a windows update i notice the slowdowns.) Sorry that i forgot to mention that*

What are your cpu temps like when stressing it?
Temps in games are very good (50-65)
CPU package went up to 81c when stress testing
I couldnt get to see temps by cores
Also the volt was good (max 1.3v) per core

(Using hwinfo64)

Can overclock of CPU cause slowdowns on PC ?
(Even if stress testing didnt have issues?)
The desktop uses just a few % so OC of cpu shouldnt cause that.
Also the slowdowns does not happen oftenly.
I also did run a virus scan with Windows Defender and even if some
cores were at 100% the desktop was not slow....
Desktop was decent also when stress testing with Prime95
So i do not know what might cause the slowdowns
And as said, it has been 2 weeks at least without them but noticed
it again after trying to update Fortnite on Epic Launcher
so I deleted it yesterday but noticed again today a slowdown of PC
that lasted a few seconds. Maybe it was windows update in the
background, I do not know. yet i think the bios update has fixed alot
of stuff i had problems with before (like fps drop in games)

** what also is weird that i have noticed the slowdowns on my other
two PC's at home. which are decent medium end PC's
(a desktop and a laptop)

To be honest, Im not sure what your problem could be. Hopefully someone with more experience can advise you further, good luck, hope you get it sorted out!
Maybe its just windows bug with some systems. I did try ubuntu also without problem,
ubuntu didnt have any of these issues. It might even be my router, I do not know. Yet thank you for taking time to answer me!
