Question Random PC Stuttering, Audio crackling, random restarts on new build

All parts bought brand new. CPU cooler was new but I have had in storage for around 12 months. I have tried reinstalling windows, reinstalling nvidia drivers, amd chipset drivers, bios updates etc. Specs below:

• Ryzen 5 7600x
• Coolermaster ML240L V2 RGB
• Gigabyte B650M GAMING X AX
• MSI GeForce RTX 4080 16GB GAMING X TRIO
• Crucial RAM 16GB Kit (2x8GB) DDR5 4800MHz CL40 Desktop Memory CT2K8G48C40U5
• Sabrent 1TB Rocket Nvme PCIe 4.0 M.2 2280 Internal SSD Maximum Performance Solid State Drive (SB-ROCKET-NVMe4-1TB)
• GIGABYTE P850GM V2, 850W, 80 Plus Gold Certified, 120mm Smart Hydraulic Bearing (HYB) Fan, Fully Modular Power Supply

I have recently build this pc and had non-stop issues. The pc will randomly restart, sometimes when downloading files, sometimes when gaming or running a benchmark, and sometimes under no load.

Issue 2 is random frame drops accompanied by cracking audio. This happens in games, on windows homescreen, on the web etc. The mouse will become slower and stuttery, and audio such as voices from discord will become distorted. This lasts around 10 seconds before returning to normal. The random restarting doesn't appear to be directly linked to the stuttering as I have played 30 mins on COD with periodic stutters but no restarting, whereas I have booted the pc and gone on google chrome and the pc has restarted within a minute.


Any help here would be hugely appreciated, really don't want to send parts back if possible. Thanks.

Hmm potentially, I've already ordered a Corsair RM850 which should be arriving Friday as I thought this could be an issue. Just got a good price on the Gigabyte one was all.
