hey there,
some time ago my pc started doing this thing where it randomly shuts off and immediately turns back on afterwards. my friend that rewired my stuff a bit ago said that the cable connecting the power supply to the motherboard was a bit strained so i tried unplugging and replugging it after which the random shutdowns stopped for about 2 months but now it just happened again. could it be the same problem, should i get a new power supply or is there any way to test if the power supply is actually failing?

regards

edit: i rewired the power cable so that there's no strain on it anymore, time will tell whether that helped or not. any other suggestions are still welcome though!
