Recently have just formatted all of my drives and restarted my pc. Not long after this, i realised that there was a new "RAMDisk" drive sitting in my Devices and drives. This wasn't there before the format, and on appeared shortly after the drive formatting. It doesn't appear in Disk management.

Any help to explain what it is, why its there, can i get rid of it? I know a fair amount about PC's, but this one has me stumped.

Thank you guys :)

RAMDisk is a drive located on RAM, I can only know Asrock, Asus and MSI motherboard that by default included RAMDisk, nothing to worry, RAMDisk yield faster I/O seek time. Read/Write, and cache then HDD or SSD
