So in august of 2014 i built a custom desktop.
Specs
Motherboard: MSI 970 Gaming
GPU: Asus Nvidia Geforce GTX 750ti
PSU: EVGA 600B 80+Bronze
CPU: AMD FX 4200 (installed 212 hyper evo within two weeks of build)
SSD: Crucial 258GB (os)
HDD: Western Digital Blue 1TB (games and data)
CD drive: some random LG off my old comp along with a card reader from that same comp
Case: probably irrelevant but its a thor V2 from rosewill
RAM: random 2x4GB 1333 from old computer
This build worked great for about a month until i started getting random reboots. No BSOD from these reboots, the computer would just shut off and reboot giving Event ID 41 Kernel-Power. These reboots could come while gaming, launching my browser, or simply when i hit enter to log in after a reboot. After i started getting the random reboots i upgraded my cpu to an AMD FX8320. And after fighting the reboots for two weeks i redid the cable management in the back of my computer adding an 8pin cpu power extension and pulled all the cables off the exposed back of the motherboard and everything worked great.......for two months. Then randomly out of the blue they started again. This time i thought i might have a faulty power supply so i replaced the EVGA600B with an EVGA G2 750W 80+gold. This seemed to work for a day then the reboots were back (this time with a random BSOD thrown in rarely). I also added a corsair h100i at this time. I have no idea what to do and am seeking out help. I've read tons of threads on this issue and tried everything, from changing hibernation settings to re installing windows 7. The only things i can think is that the ram or mobo is bad. I do have new ram on the way ( trying to get old computer back together so i can sell it as a whole) and if that doesnt work i guess its new mobo time. If anyone has any ideas to help it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
