Hello all,

So I have another random computer reboot issue. I have read the sticky above and did some research to eliminate some probable causes.

There may be a few things out of my hands since this is a work computer, but I do most of the PC tech support for the part of the building am in. This particular computer appears to be a custom built deal that was pawned off to me because of the issue in question.

The frequency of these restarts has gone from once a week to several per day. (very frustrating)

The computer is part of a domain, but it does not seam to matter whether i log on to the Domain or onto a local account... Not sure if this has anything to do with the issue.

What the system is:
AMD Phenom X4 955
ASRock M3A780GXH/128M
Stock CPU cooler
2x2gb ddr3-12800 ram (nothing to fancy here)
thermaltake 500W PSU
Win7 Pro 32bit
No populated PCIe or PCI slots.
only basic I/O devices connected

500gb platter drive....

I cleaned up the C: drive and used DiskPart to shrink down to 50~gb. Then I created an image and repair disk to move the contents to an Adata SP900 SSD that I had extra from my house. I can't stand traditional hdd's anymore....

As I don't not know the true history of this PC, I have done the following to attempt to fix the issue:
-Reseat CPU/ clean re-apply thermal compound
-thorough dusting of all connectors and heatsinks
-verify system control header/connector are correct
-clean/reseat memory DIMM's and slots
-used memory diagnostic tool, OK
-checkdisk, OK
-unchecked "reboot after system failure" in advanced system properties.
-installed Handbrake and Unigine Heaven to put system under full load to test temps
-installed cupid HWMonitor, CPU never over 55C under 100% load

I am truly baffled at this point...

Thanks for the help,
Josh

So if the PSU is going out, will this problem continue to get worse until one day it won't even turn on? I figured the PSU would be ruled out since it help up just fine under max load.... (which is fairly low anyways since there there are no GPU's, hdd's or optical drives...)
