Random reboots -- unknown cause

Hi everyone --

My computer is a home-built Windows 10 PC with an AMD A10 CPU in a small form-factor case. It was worked mostly flawlessly for three or four years.

About a month ago I started experiencing random "hard" reboots of the computer at unexpected times. In the middle of use, the screen simply goes blank, I get a "no video signal" message for a second, then the computer goes into a restart (BIOS message screen and the whole deal). There is no Windows shutdown involved.

There doesn't seem to be any pattern to when these reboots happen, though I would estimate they occur about once in every 5-7 hours of computer use.

At first I suspected a power-supply issue, so I replaced mine with a brand new one (it is TFX form factor so not so easy to find locally). The problem seems to have become perhaps less frequent with this change, but it's still there.

Any ideas?

Have you considered doing a fresh complete cleaning of your PC, like dusting it off reorganizing the cables and stuff?
( It might be from overheating or any kind of dirt in your pc, im just giving you opinions that i already went through 1 year ago ) and now i'm having ever a worse case which i already posted in forums and don't want to make you confused with that.,

Btw what king of Mobo do you have? Are you regularly updating your bios and such things?

^ Thanks for your note. The computer is quite free of dust and the cables are neatly tucked away. I had initially thought that overheating might be the issue but I don't think so -- I can't understand why that problem would suddenly crop up, in any case. I'll have a look at the system temperatures.
