Random restart during installation

Hey everyone

After I installed Win 7 on my laptop and like it I decied to do the same to my PC.
The problem is that it's restart itself at random point of installtions even before partition sellection.

I already tried to:
1. New HD
2. New DDR2 memory
3. Set fail safe bios.
4. Disable all the USB and on board devices like lan card.

I'm out of ideas...

Please please help me

You either have a bad installation disk or more likely, your components are not compatible with the windows 7 OS.

The cd that i'm using is good because I tried it on my laptop and on virtual machine.
Also I tried 2 version 64 bit and 32 bit but the result is the same.

My PC is not that old so it won't able to use win 7

Download and run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. It will check your system and report any software and hardware compatibility issues.

I got problem with - Gigabyte GBB36X Controllers(JMicron Technology Corp.)

Now what is that mean?

Go to Gigabyte's site and see if they have an update for it.

If I will install that on my current windows how it will fix the problem on the Win 7 new installation?

Depends. When you ran the Upgrade Advisor, what message did you receive?

I am assuming that it is working PC which works fine with another OS and only have problems with W7, if not then You should test hardware first starting with memory.

If it is working fine with another OS:
1. Remove any IDE drives.
2. Remove SATA drives from JMicron ports and use Intel controller instead.
3. Disable Jmicron controller in BIOS.
4. Try installing W7, if succesfull download Jmicron drivers and install them if you want to use JMicron controller.
5. Enable JMicron controller in Bios and reconnect any IDE and SATA drives to JMicron controller.

I tried to do all your list but I can't find anyhing that conects with this Jmicron controller...

Problem Solved. Bios update fixed the problem
