Hey All,

I have an old pc, ( Asrock z68 extreme 4 gen 3 with 2600k) that every once in a while will have start up problems. It will turn on for about 3 seconds and then restart over and over again. Occasionally as a variance, it will post untill it hits an error 55 (memory problem). The problem crops up more frequently if I turn off the mains power to the pc.

As for it being a memory problem, I have pretty much ruled that out through reseating the ram, and also swapping out to known good sticks I have spare.

The solution to the problem is a cringe worthy picking the pc off the desk and bashing it down pretty hard a few times.

I realize this is a pretty random failure with not much to go on... Just thought someone might have come across something similar before. I haven't changed the battery out in ages, but I don't think that would be relevant to the problem. Anyone come accress anything similar before?

Thanks

Also I have noted that the post says I posted it at 10:40pm yesterday.... I posted it at 8:40 this morning, and it is only 4:30 in the afternoon on the same day.... Is that southern hemisphere discrimination??? Because just quietly, it is the best hemisphere...

Hey guys... surely I can't be the only person to suffer a boot-loop failure. I've already checked the obvious cmos and mem fixes.... Does no-one here have an idea of the next obvious testing protocols?... I came here for help because normally there are such knowledgeable and experienced folks helping... Yet not one idea or reply?????..............
