For a graduation present my sister bought me a gaming computer from iBuyPower.
Two days after she's given it to me (without her touching it at all) and it began to restart randomly.
It restarts - not fully turns off and then turns back on. It just blacks out and turns back on as if it had turned off and turned back on forcefully.
The restart time (time between restarts) is entirely random.
Just yesterday, the computer was on for a whole 7 hours without a single restart (before I went to sleep because I wasn't going to monitor it past 5 AM). Today, it has restarted more than 10 times. Earlier on, it restarted at least 4 times in 30 minutes.
I've checked the RAM by taking out one and leaving the other in.. but it happens with both of them.
I did a clean install on the operating system (Windows 8) and that only got me about 2 hours of time.
I also updated drivers, and turned off fast start from the Windows options.. Nothing seems to work.
Before I send it back, I want to make sure it's nothing stupid on my end.

This is the build - it's a pre-built.
As for my setup, everything is normal..
But here's where my instinct has been sort of budging me:
I'm sharing a power strip chord with my brother who has a reaaaally old computer (I think from 2005).. It has a lot of things plugged into it (like my monitor, his monitor, my computer, his computer, and a few other peripheral devices - his charger for example).
Could this be where the issue is coming from? I wouldn't think so simply because the computer does not turn off all together. When it blacks out, the fans stay on, the blue LED lights stay on, everything stays on.. it just restarts.
All help is appreciated! Thank you!
If there is any information/advice you can give me, it's welcomed.
P.S. The BIOS also does not beep when it is restarting.
P.P.S. It seems to work for a lot longer during the night time -> morning times..
P.P.P.S. I have a software called Gigabyte (which acts as my device controller & manager) and usually it does not come up on startup.
Instead.. I get this almost all the time:
*NOTE: this is not a picture of my exact DMI Pool data-stuff.. This is just the one that is as close to mine as I could find.
Thanks again.
