I have used the same system for about a year, and all of the sudden about a week ago I started getting packet loss while online gaming. I have restarted the modem/router, I have replaced the Ethernet cable, and I've used wi-fi and hardwired to compare. I'm all out of ideas, please help.

Edit: I don't know if this information will help, but my wife uses wi-fi to the same internet and doesn't get packet loss.

You could try flushing your dns cache, i think.

Go into your command prompt, and type "ipconfig /flushdns".

I'm not sure exactly what it does but i've been told to do that when i have internet issues sometimes.

So I just did that, will test now for packet loss and let you know how it goes!
Edit: Says i'm still getting minor packet loss (< 1%). But games feel a lot smoother.
